Ellie graduated from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School in 2016 with a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Acting). In 2016 she travelled to Los Angeles to attend The Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute for an internship of intensive classes under the tutelage of David Strasberg.

Ellie’s musical theatre credits include Sophie in Mamma Mia! (Wellington Musical Theatre) and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde (The Court Theatre) and Glinda in Wicked (ShowBiz and Abbey Musical Theatre)

Ellie also had a love of screen acting and has appeared in James Ashcroft’s short films The Usher and Marching, and Chaz Harris’ short film Awake which will be included in the New Zealand feature film Encounters. She also played Morgan in the post-apocalyptic web series End of Term (TVNZ On Demand).
