BROADWAY AND OTHER KIWI DREAMS
Rebekah has been working as an actor, singer and puppeteer across New Zealand and internationally since 2014. She is a graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (Bachelor of Performing Arts).
Rebekah was a puppeteer at Auckland's Whoa! Studios between 2017 and 2019 developing and performing many of their live stage shows. In 2018 she played Jazz in Whoa! Productions Television series Custard's World where she had the incredible opportunity of being mentored by Peter Linz (Ernie, Sesame Street). Other puppetry highlights include the Music Video for Fat Freddy's Drop Special Edition; multiple videos for the NZ Police Creative Genius series and building puppets for the 2020 season of DEEP (Proudly Asian Theatre/SICKO).
Theatre highlights include Hair, Spring Awakening (NASDA); A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Little Mermaid (The Court Theatre); Glenn Miller and The Andrews Sisters (Operatunity); Napier Art Deco Festvial (The Velvetines Trio); Infectious, Unsupervised (Basement Theatre); Black Dog (Little Dog Barking) and most recently Peter and the Wolf at the Singapore International Festival of Arts (SILO theatre)
Rebekah played Glinda in the NZ company premiere of Wicked (Showbiz Christchurch) and reprised the role in Invercargill (Invercargill Musical Theatre) where she won an OSTA for Best Leading Female in a Musical.
Rebekah enjoys story telling in all it's forms and is particularly passionate about puppetry in New Zealand.
